CCGS Receives Grant from Community Foundation
In affiliation with the Wabash Valley Community Foundation, the Clay Community Foundation recently awarded the Clay County Genealogy Society, Inc. a grant of $8,620. The money was used to reinforce the floor of the building that was sagging, to expand the restroom to make it handicapped accessible, correct plumbing issues in the bathroom, close up the old coal chute, install an exhaust fan, and replace a ceiling light fixture.
Kroger Community Rewards Give to CCGS
We received our check this month for $9.86 from Kroger. The check is a different amount each time; the amount depends on how many of our supporters shop and how much they spend on groceries each month.
If you would like to help the library every time you ‘go Krogering,’ you can sign up at https://www.kroger.com/communityrewards
You will need to open an account and link it to your Kroger card that is scanned each time you shop. Choose our name, Clay County Genealogical Society, and credits will be applied to the Society each time you use your card.
It costs you nothing to sign up, and it does not take away any of your fuel points. Every check we receive from Kroger Community Rewards helps pay our utilities. Thank you.
