Research Request Guidelines
Volunteers will do research for you at the Library. Please use the research outline below to ensure a reply from us. You can contact us via US mail at the address below or use our CONTACT page to request more information. Volunteers are at the Library at least three days a week and requests are answered promptly.
All of our research is done entirely by volunteers at the library. Research requests that do not follow the guidelines will not be answered promptly. When using US mail you should include all information that you need and mail it along with a large SASE to speed up the inquiry. If your research request does not include the SASE you will be charged additional fees for handling and postage.
Fees for research are $10.00 per hour; there will be a charge of $0.15 for photocopies of information in the library and microfilm or microfiche copies are $0.25. There is a fee of $15.00 each for birth, marriage, and death records. If only records are requested, the hourly charge will be waived. Other charges may apply for official document copying, court house visits and mailing. . More detailed information about research is available by contacting the Library if you are unsure about the fees.
