The following citizens presented a petition to the Clay County Board of Commissioners requesting that the commissioners construct and maintain an improved highway 1/8th mile long connecting the Wilson Cemetery with an existing improved public highway by the nearest and most practical route. The petition was filled February 25, 1932, with Lewis H. Schopmeyer, Auditor of Clay County. The three commissioners who signed it on March 8, 1932, were L. E. Kumpf, E. R. Collins, and W. L. Knox.
